Meet The BlueCats!
Ken Bernard
Ted Skenandore
Richard Grant
The BlueCats are one of the Midwest's most enduring Blues Rock traditions. Having firmly established themselves as "the" band to seek out when a good time and great music is the primary objective, The BlueCats never fail to deliver the goods! Founded by the inimitable Fat Mike Dillhunt (Fat Mike and The BlueCats), way back when, they continue to carry on his legacy with each passing season. Sadly our good friend "Fats" is no longer with us, but The BlueCats remember him at every show and know that he'd be pleased to see that the trio is still rocking harder than ever to the delight of audiences all over the Midwest! Don't miss your next opportunity to catch these guys live! The BlueCats are guaranteed to please!

Ken Bernard - Bass guitar and Vocals

Kenny is the established emcee at The BlueCats' shows and provides the lightning to complement Ted's thunder. These two have played together so long that they actually seem to know what the other is thinking on stage. You'd have to look long and hard to find a tighter rythym section and all you need to do is catch a live show to see for yourself that this is a rare matchup between two talented musicians.

Ken started playing bass back in '82 with the band "On Stage", a nine piece show band that toured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and the Carribean island of Aruba. Opening for the acclaimed, Manhatten Transfer, was one of the high points for Ken during this period. In '84 Ken joined his father in the band, "Royal Purple", which was known to be the hardest working band in the upper Midwest, often being booked two years in advance! This is where Ken met the talented guitarist "Fat Mike", also a member of Royal Purple, and a close friendship was begun that lasted until Fats' untimely passing. Ken's technical ability, stage presence and overall experience, made him the perfect fit for a rockin' blues power trio.

Ted Skenandore - Drums, Percussion and Vocals

At an early age, Ted's older brother Ron, introduced him to what would become a life-long adventure. At the age of 9, his brother would let him get up and do a few songs at shows and Ted later became their full time drummer. Ted later joined "The Little Big Band" an all original Native American Music Company touring the PowWow circuit. In the '80's Ted joined the trio, "Bullet Proof" and opened shows for many well known headliners of the day including, Black Oak Arkansas, Uriah Heep, Blackfoot, and The Descendants. Later he joined Southern Rockers, "Final Shot", where Rick was a lead guitarist, and enjoyed much success opening shows for such big names as Molly Hatchet, Meatloaf, Pat Travers, The Outlaws, Foghat, Head East, Cub Koda and The Bone Gods, and The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Ted's powerful vocals, coupled with his dynamic drumming and extensive experience, make him and Ken the ultimate Blues Rock backbone!

Richard Grant - Electric Lead/Rhythm, Acoustic Guitars and Vocals

For all of his adult life, Rick has been making music with his friends and wouldn't have it any other way! First picking up the guitar at the age of eight, he quickly realized that music would be his obsession and that there was nothing that he'd rather choose for his lifelong career. Having toured the U.S. extensively during the '80's and '90's, Rick gained the experience that can only be had by playing, night after night, in clubs, and at festivals all over the country, with such well known bands as StormBringer (who opened shows for Head East, The Guess Who, Gary U.S. Bonds, Humble Pie, and GreyStar), Neptune, Final Shot, and Axl HalfTime with a brief tenure in Fat Mike and The BlueCats in the '90's. As a founding member of "Final Shot", Rick met Ted upon his return to the Midwest, and another musical union was born that would endure to this day. Final Shot enjoyed a busy existence, opening shows all over the Midwest for all of the acts mentioned above. Rick knows that Fats left some pretty big shoes to fill and having the good fortune to work with the best rythym section in the Midwest, he gives his all at every show.

Boasting state of the art production and the tightest show around, The BlueCats are coming soon to a club or festival near you, so don't miss out on the chance to have one of the most blues rockin' good times you'll ever experience....and don't miss their upcoming CD, slated for release in '05!
